The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) is the Philippines' overall policy making body, coordinating, and grants giving agency for the preservation, development and promotion of Philippine arts and culture; an executing agency for the policies it formulates; and tasked to administer the National Endowment Fund for Culture and the Arts (NEFCA)—the fund exclusively for the implementation of culture and arts programs in line with the Medium Term Philippine Development Plan for Culture and the Arts. is one of the 19 national committees of the NCCA. Mandated to promote
the appreciation of Philippine literature and to develop a sense of
nationhood among Filipino writers, the NCLA is composed of individual
and institutional members from the literary arts.
