Jose Y. Dalisay Jr., or Butch Dalisay to readers of his "Penman" column in the Philippine Star, has authored 27 books of fiction and nonfiction. He is a TOYM, Palanca Hall of Fame, and CCP Centennial Honors List awardee, and the holder of many prestigious fellowships here and abroad.  He teaches English and Creative Writing as a Full Professor at the University of the Philippines, where he also serves as Director of the Institute of Creative Writing.  His second novel, Soledad's Sister, was shortlisted for the inaugural Man Asian Literary Prize in 2007.

Cristina Pantoja Hidalgo has published more than 30 books, including two novels, 5 short story collections, 12 nonfiction collections, and 4 collections of critical essays. At present she is the Director of the UST Center for Creative Teaching and Literary Studies, and is teaching graduate creative writing and literature courses in both UST and UP. She has also served as Director of the UST Publishing House, Director of the UP Press, Director of the UP Institute of Creative Writing, and Vice President for Public Affairs of the UP System.

Maria Luisa F. Torres-Reyes is Professor at the English Department, Ateneo de Manila University.  She is a published critic, scholar and creative writer.  She is the founder and current Editor-in-Chief of KRITIKA KULTURA, the ISI-indexed online scholarly journal on literary, language and cultural studies.  Her book, BANAAG AT SIKAT: METAKRITISISMO AT ANTOLOHIYA won the 30th National Book Awards for Literary Criticism, 2011.  SIPATSALIN, her collection of poems which have been translated in a number of Philippine and foreign languages came out in 2011.  She has delivered lectures and published in academic journals here and abroad.

Allan Popa is the author of ten collections of poetry, including Drone (Ateneo de Manila University Press, 2013) and Laan (De La Salle University Publishing House, 2013). He has received the Philippines Free Press Literary Award and the Manila Critics Circle National Book Award. He earned his MFA in Writing(Poetry) at Washington University in Saint Louis, where he won the Norma Lowry Prize and the Academy of American Poets Graduate Prize. He received fellowships to the New York State Writers Institute at Skidmore College from 2006-2011. He teaches at the Filipino Department of Ateneo de Manila University and is currently the Director of Ateneo Institute of Literary Arts and Practices (AILAP). He is one of the founding members of HighChair.

Maria Carmen "Menchu" Sarmiento is an award-winning fictionist and essayist.  She is a 2014 Rockefeller Writing Residency Fellow at the Bellagio Center in Italy.  She is the moderator of Writers Against Impunity by the Philippine Center of PEN International (email: end.impunity@philippinepen.ph).  Her latest collection, titled UKAY-UKAY: Cuentos y Diskuentos

Mesándel Virtusio Arguelles is the author of ten books of poems in Filipino: Menos Kuwarto (Pithaya Press, 2002), Ilahás (High Chair, 2004), Hindi man lang nakita (High Chair, 2006), Parang (High Chair, 2008), Alingaw (High Chair, 2010), Alinsunurang Awit (UST Publishing House, 2010), Antares (Aklat Kurimaw, 2010), Mal (High Chair, 2011), Mga Tala at Panaginip (High Chair, 2012), and Guwang (High Chair, 2013). His next book, Pilas ng Papel: Mga Sanaysay at Panayam sa Tula, will be published by the De La Salle University Publishing House this year.  His awards include the Gawad Collantes, Gawad Komisyon sa Tula, Maningning Miclat Award for Poetry, and Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature. A fellow for poetry in the 36th and 48th UP National Writers Workshops, he is a member of Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika, at Anyo (LIRA) and High Chair. He works as a book editor and is currently teaching literature and creative writing at the De La Salle University.  He is also one of the editors of hal., an online and print journal dedicated to publishing contemporary works in Filipino.

Herminio S. Beltran, Jr. is the director of the Literary Arts Division of the Cultural Center of the Philippines and editor-in-chief of ANI, the CCP literary journal. He is author of two trilingual books of poetry (BAYAMBANG, Kalikasan Press, 1991) and LEMLUNAY (UP Press, 2003).  He is on the Board of Directors of Philippine PEN.

Si Christoffer Mitch C. Cerda ay guro sa Kagawaran ng Filipino ng Pamantasang Ateneo de Manila.  Nagtapos siya ng BFA Creative Writing at MA Panitikang Filipino sa pamantasang nabanggit at kasalukuyang nag-aaral ng Ph.D. Philippine Studies sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas-Diliman.  Inilathala ng National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) at Ateneo Insititute of Literary Arts and Practices (AILAP) bilang bahagi ng UBOD New Authors Series II ang kaniyang chapbook ng mga maikling kuwento na pinamagatang "Paglalayag Habang Naggagala ang Hilaga at Iba Pang Kuwento".  Tubo siyang San Pablo City, Laguna.

Heidi Emily Eusebio-Abad teaches courses on creative writing for children and young adults at the Department of English & Comparative Literature at UP Diliman.  Some of her books for children are "Abot Mo Ba ang Tainga Mo?", "Polliwog's Wiggle", "Magnificent Pearl", "The Grease Man", "Ball of Wax", and "Faye, the Always Angel". Her collection of poetry for children which won 2nd place in the Carlos Palanca Literary Awards will be published this year. She is a member of the Kuwentista ng mga Tsikiting (KUTING).

Si Eugene Evasco ay makata, kuwentista, iskolar, at kolektor ng mga aklat pambata. Kasalukuyan siyang Associate Professor ng panitikan at malikhaing pagsulat sa UP Diliman.  Dalawang ulit siyang nagwagi ng Grand Prize sa PBBY-Salanga Writer's Prize.  Nagwagi ang aklat niyang Ang Sampung Bukitkit sa 2012 National Children's Book Award.  Iniluklok siya sa Palanca Hall of Fame noong 2009.  Dalawang ulit siyang pinagkalooban ng titulong University Artist 2 ng UP Diliman. 

Ralph Semino Galán, poet, literary and cultural critic, translator and editor, is currently the Senior Resident Fellow and de facto Deputy Director of the UST Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies.  He is an Associate Professor of Literature, the Humanities and Creative Writing in the UST Faculty of Arts and Letters and the UST Graduate School.  He has a B.A. in English (Major in Literature), magna cum laude from the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology and an M.A. in English Studies (Major in Creative Writing) from UP Diliman.  His poems in English and Filipino have won prizes in the Philippine Panorama (1993) and Home Life Magazine (1998) poetry contests.  His first book titled "The Southern Cross and Other Poems" was published by the NCCA in 2005 as part of its UBOD New Authors Series, and his second book, "Discernments: Literary Essays, Cultural Critiques and Book Reviews", was published by the UST Publishing House in 2013. 

Si Yol Jamendang ay guro ng panitikan at kulturang Filipino sa Pamantasang Ateneo de Manila.  Para sa kanyang MA thesis, nagsulat siya tungkol sa kontemporaneong pagkalalaki sa kulturang popular sa Pilipinas.  Ninanakaw ng mga gag show at ad agency ang mga konseptong pinapauso niya sa internet. 

Nicolas B. Pichay is currently the Director of the Senate Legislative Research Service and a law lecturer of the UP Law Center.  He is the author, among others,  of The Honor of the Senate: 44 Days of an Impeachment Trial.  His play Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros was recently produced by Bit by Bit Productions.  He teaches playwrighting at the Philippine High School for the Arts.  He is a Don Carlos Palanca Hall of Fame awardee.  He is a board member of the Philippine PEN.

Ricardo Soler is a director of PEN Philippines, member of the Manila Overseas Press Club and the Tuesday Club; fictionist, essayist and journalist.  His last work of published fiction was an anthology of his short stories, "For Starters," which had excellent reviews from two National Artists for Literature and other top Filipino authors and critics.  He contributed fiction to Free Press, Roque Magazine, etc.;  essays, feature stories and book criticisms to Philippine Star and Inquirer; historical essay to Roque Magazine, etc.   His most recent work is a short story intended for translation into Spanish, set for publication and distribution in Mexico from where it will also be distributed in South America. At 76, he is still an active writer and is a frequent speaker with particular emphasis on the subject of Depressive Disorders.
